From Mother Africa came the rhythms. They crossed oceans, carrying memory, longing, and music. To the north flows the Mississippi. To the south winds the Una River.
Distant rivers, different stories, but one same soul that found in music a way to breathe.
From this meeting of sounds and paths, the Usina Jazz & Blues Festival is born.
From March 27 to 29, Usina de Arte hosts three nights of jazz and blues among the old mill buildings and the landscape of Pernambuco’s Mata Sul region. A celebration of music, of encounters, and of connections that cross oceans.
If you can, come and enjoy this experience at a relaxed pace, and stay for more than a day.
