Granite and marble marquetry with a reflecting pool
12 x 8 m
Made of marble and granite, the work reproduces the flow of a stream through the contrast between light and dark surfaces. The title, almost musical in sound, recalls the noise of running water, bringing sight and hearing together in a single experience. Rather than asserting itself vertically, Tiummmmtichamm spreads horizontally across the landscape, leading visitors to walk around it or across it. Its flatness challenges the traditional idea of sculpture as volume and links real and virtual space, connecting directly with the springs found in the park.
