Corten steel and glass
3 x 1.5 x 1 m
Inside a glass structure, an enormous hammer seems both to point toward the horizon and to threaten to break through the space that contains it. The tension between strength and fragility, containment and rupture, runs through the sculpture, while the reference to light evokes the mechanisms through which we perceive and interpret the world. As in much of Cemin's work, form, matter, and language are in constant dialogue.
